Updated fee structure of NADRA CNIC in Pakistan 2024

The SNIC (Smart National Identity Card), also known as CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card), and it is a one time issued document by the Pakistani government. CNIC is assigned a unique 13-digit number that securely saves a person’s biometric data.

CNIC is your identity proof that you are a citizen of Pakistan and you can avail the benefits of government and private services. CNIC has been provided by the government sector NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) through biometric. At first, NADRA used to give simple CNIC cards, but now smart cards have been provided which are based on advanced technology.

The validity of the ID card is 10 years. You will renew your ID card when it is expired, or you can also renew your  ID card before its expiry. If your ID card is expired, you will be denied to apply for any government services, bank services, job or purchase property.

For the renewal of CNIC, you can visit any nearest  NADRA office , or you can apply online in the PAK ID App. Overseas Pakistani also  used the PAK ID app to apply for renewal of ID card.

ID card Renewal fee

As of May 2024, the fee structure of renewal ID cards is the same. The standard renewal fee of ID card is 750 rupees, urgent base renewal fee of ID card is 1500 rupees and executive renewal fee of ID card is 2500 rupees.

Processing time of standard renewal ID card is 31 working days maximum, 15 working days maximum for urgent base and 10 working days for executive renewal  ID card.
